The Ginkgo biloba or Japanese walnut tree, originally from Central China, is the oldest living tree species on earth (about 300 million years). The (standardized) extract of the leaves of Ginkgo biloba has various health-promoting effects. Most extracts are standardized on 24% flavonglycosides and 6% terpene lactones. However, Ginkgo contains a broad spectrum of active ingredients and other extracts can also be very valuable.
In traditional Chinese medicine ginkgo leaf has been used for more than 5,000 years to support health. It strengthens the antioxidant defense, supports (micro) circulation throughout the body, helps to keep the heart and blood vessels healthy, is beneficial for brain function and state of mind, supports the condition of the eyes and ears and protects healthy cells and tissues. Ginkgo biloba increases mental and physical vitality and protects against aging symptoms.

Contraindications
