The golden drink: the best way to cure inflammation

We all know that drinking herbal tea is good for you, at least better than coffee or our sugary friend mister hot chocolate.
But what if I told you that you don’t have to fill your days anymore with just bitter green tea.
This beautiful looking golden drink tastes delicious and it also so very healing for your body.

What is Curcumin?

Curcumin is a bright yellow/orange root that grows mostly in southeast Asia and is extensively cultivated. The rhizome or root is processed to form turmeric containing 2% to 5% curcumin.

3 ways to maximize the absorption of curcumin by your body

How to make this delicious golden drink
Ingredients:

Tumeric paste

  • Clean glass jar for storing
  • 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup or 30 grams of ground turmeric
  • 1/2 cup or 120 ml of pure water

Golden milk

  • 800 ml of almond or coconut milk ( preferably organic without added sugar)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 15 g coconut oil
  • Sweetener of choice (i.e. maple syrup, coconut sugar, or stevia to taste)

To make the paste you need a small saucepan.
Add all the ingredients of the paste together and boil at a low heat, while continuous stirring.
If the paste gets to dry add more water while stirring.
You should be left with a nice thick yellow paste which you can store in the glass jar in your fridge for one month.

To make the Golden drink add all the ingredients from the golden milk in a saucepan with 1 teaspoon of your self-made turmeric paste.
Stir this until all the ingredients are mixed and the milk has heated up just underneath boiling point.
Sweeten to taste.

Enjoy and stay healthy!
